Anchor Lamps

Our heavy duty anchor lanterns are made to the style used by some ships as reserve lanterns in case of electrical failure. They have dioptic lenses and the handles at the top and bottom incorporate a rope-fixing ring. When electrified the cable is fed in from the top. On the 13" and 18" models the oil burner and fuel tank remain in place. On the 10" model there is not space to retain these parts. 4112 - BRASS ANCHOR LAMP 18", oil (29fl-oz), 1" wick, burns 24hrs. 4114 - BRASS ANCHOR LAMP 13", oil (7fl-oz), half-inch wick, burns 10hrs.4116 - BRASS ANCHOR LAMP 10", oil (4fl-oz), half-inch wick, burns 6hrs.

 

  

Anchor Light Large Bronze

Among the handful of classic ship’s lanterns the anchor light stands out for its commanding looks and its enduring practicality. Brass sheet beats rust and even acid rain. A hand made glass lens distributes light 360º. Heavy cast handles fold down when not in use, but are available for hooking the lamp up using a bracket, a rope, or a tree branch. It functions on lamp oil, but is easily converted to electric. Above all…its classic shape is handsome, sturdy, and the way it’s made will make it survive generations.
