Realistic figureheads are made from

hand-painted resin, mounted on sturdy

brass hooks with an antique-effect verdigris

finish. ATALANTA is modelled after the

determined temptress from Greek mythology,

the figurehead of a mid-19th century 16-gun

brigantine. Each is approx 6'' tall and 2" wide.

Knotboard Keybox

Elegant cabinet in which to keep keys,

with characterful knotboard front as

might be expected in the captain's cabin.

With six hooks and space for small

oddments in the inside compartment.

Made in wood, stained to a dark finish

with shaped brass corner fittings, magnetic

door catch and two hooks for wall mounting

at rear. 8" wide, 12" high, 3" deep.

Naval-style Keybox

This keybox, from our naval-style wooden

furniture range, provides convenient storage for

keys and padlocks, with room on the bottom shelf

for a torch, and a total of 18 hooks. The style is

similar to the decor that would have been found in

the Captain's cabins of 19th century sailing ships,

which were designed as havens for concentration

on the vital matters of navigation and meteorology.

In contrast to the spartan, cramped conditions

experienced by the crew, these cabins were fitted

out in beautifully finished mahogany or camphor

wood. Our range, inspired by the smaller pieces

such as writing desks and chart cases, is made

from solid (not plywood) polished sheesham wood

with chunky brass corners and other fittings.

The keybox measures 11.5x7x3".
